50 Joint Personnel Cleared of Street Vendors on Jalan Kali Tanggul Timur

Kapuk Urban Village is carrying out arrangements on Jalan Kali Tanggul Timur, RT 03/10, Kapuk, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

With the current arrangement, the area is now neater and cleaner

Kapuk Urban Village Head, Achmad Subhan said the arrangement was carried out by clearing fruit traders on the green belt of the road thereby disrupting public order.

"It involves 50 joint personnel from Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, army/police assisted by PPSU," he expressed, Wednesday (1/24).

According to procedure, he had sent warning letters I to III that regulates the traders must dismantle their stalls themselves.

"But, they ignore it. That's why, we dismantle their stalls along green belt," he stressed.

Jamal Abdullah (52), a local resident, supported the actions taken by Kapuk Urban Village personnel to arrange the area around Jalan Kali Tanggul Timur.

"This is because many plants in the green belt die, including traffic jams on the streets. With the current arrangement, the area is now neater and cleaner," he stated.
